Have you ever thought about starting a business with someone else? If so, you'll want to watch this interactive video where we explore the advantages and disadvantages of business partnerships. Our main characters, Sarah Ellen and Jess Mae, have decided to take the plunge and start a small vet practice together. They are two entrepreneurs who are willing to take risks, and they know that choosing the right form of business ownership is crucial to their success.

They soon discover that setting up as a sole trader isn't an option, as they both want to be owners of the business and make decisions together. They consider forming a Private Limited Company but eventually decide on forming a business partnership. We'll explain how this form of ownership allows them to share the workload, risks, and profits but also comes with some potential drawbacks.

By the end of this video, you'll have a better understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of business partnerships, and be better equipped to make an informed decision about your own business ownership.

  • The interactive case study explores how Terrence Smith, a qualified dentist, set up his own dental practice with the help of two partners, Sarah and Rachel. Terrence's decision to start a business with partners made it easier to raise capital, bring in diverse skillsets, and implement new ideas. Smith and Co. Dental Practice opened in Brighton in February 2020, and has since had great success, with plans to expand further.
