OVERVIEW

Have you ever wondered what resources are used to produce the goods and services we use every day? In this interactive video, we take a closer look at the factors of production, using Joe's Pizza in Manchester as an example. The factors of production are the resources that businesses use to produce goods and services, and they can be broken down into four categories: land, labour, capital, and enterprise.

Land resources refer to the physical land and raw materials used in the production process, such as the physical land where Joe's Pizza is located and the raw materials like flour, tomatoes, and wood used in making the pizzas. Labour refers to the effort contributed by people in the production process, which includes the staff working at the counter, taking orders, and delivering pizzas at Joe's Pizza.

Capital is anything that can help increase the ability to generate value, such as the pizza boxes, oven, building, tables, and chairs at Joe's. Finally, enterprise refers to the entrepreneur who combines the other factors of production to earn a profit. In the case of Joe's Pizza, the entrepreneur is Joe himself, who uses his entrepreneurial skills to successfully run the pizza business.

By the end of this video, you'll have a solid understanding of the factors of production and how they relate to the success of a business just like Joe's Pizza.
